Battery Cooling (Active Air Cooling)
The charger monitors the temperature of the inserted battery. If necessary, the fan switches on to cool the battery.
The battery is cooled in 3 stages:
- Pre-cooling
- Cooling during the charging process
- Aftercooling
Pre-cooling
If the temperature of the inserted battery is above 45 °C before charging begins, the fan will switch on to cool down the battery to below 45 °C and therefore start the charging process more quickly. The charging process then begins.
Cooling during the charging process
The fan cools the battery during the charging process.
Aftercooling
If necessary, the fan will continue running after the charging process. If the battery does not need to be cooled after the charging process, the fan will switch off.
