Dust/Chip Extraction
Do not perform work without taking dust-reducing measures. Using a suitable dust extraction attachment will reduce exposure to harmful dust. Provide good ventilation at the workplace. Always use suitable breathing protection. Use a dust extraction system that is suitable for the material wherever possible. The regulations on the materials being machined that apply in the country of use must be observed.
- Avoid dust accumulation at the workplace. Dust can easily ignite.

According to IEC/EN 60335-2-69
Refer to the dust extractor’s instructions. If there is reduced suction power, stop working and eliminate the cause.
The dust/chip extraction system can be blocked by dust, chips or fragments of the workpiece.
- Switch the power tool off and pull the mains plug out of the socket.
- Wait until the saw blade has come to a complete stop.
- Determine the cause of the blockage and eliminate it.
- To prevent the risk of fire when sawing aluminium, empty the chip ejector and the lower saw blade cover and do not use chip extraction.
Emptying the Chip Ejector (see figure f)
You can empty the chip ejector (33) to remove workpiece fragments and large chips.
- Switch the power tool off and pull the mains plug out of the plug socket.
- Wait until the saw blade has come to a complete stop.
- Loosen the screws (49) on the cover cap (48) using the hex key (9).
The screws cannot be unscrewed completely (protection against loss). - Press on the clamping spring (50) from below and swivel the cover cap (48) outwards.
When doing so, ensure that the cover cap is pressed against the top of the dust protection plate (51). - Clean the chip ejector (33) to remove fragments of the workpiece and chips.
- Swivel the cover cap (48) back down until the clamping spring (50) locks.
- Tighten the screws (49) on the cover cap (48) using the hex key (9).
External Dust Extraction (see figure g)
Click & Clean connection: In order to extract dust and chips, you can either connect a dust extraction hose to the dust extraction adapter (4) of the protective cover (3) or connect a dust extraction hose together with the dust extraction adapter (32) to the chip ejector (33).
- Connect a dust extraction hose (dia. 33 mm) firmly to the dust extraction adapter (4) of the protective cover (3).
or
- Attach the dust extraction adapter (32) firmly to the chip ejector (33).
- Connect a dust extraction hose (dia. 39 mm) firmly to the dust extraction adapter (32).
The dust extractor must be suitable for the material being worked.
When extracting dry dust that is especially detrimental to health or carcinogenic, use a special dust extractor.
